Application Requirements

Freshman Application

In addition to your application, the following documents are required to complete your application:

  • High School Transcript
  • SAT or ACT scores โ€” The school code for the College Board is 2089 to submit your SAT scores. The ACT school code is 2712.
  • Two letters of recommendation (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Personal Statement โ€” Students applying for the School of Nursing must explain why they want to enter this profession and study nursing at The College of New Rochelle.

Freshman International Applicants

Applicants who are not a citizens or permanent residents of the United States and have studied outside of the U.S. are considered international applicants and must submit the following documents in order for their application to be reviewed:

  • Official College Transcript(s) with the WES evaluation
  • High School Transcript
  • Standardized Test scores โ€” SAT or ACT
  • TOEFL
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal Statement
  • Certificate of Finances

Transfer Policy

A transfer student at The College of New Rochelle is defined as anyone who has matriculated at an accredited two year or four year institution prior to matriculating at The College of New Rochelle.. Transfer applicants will be evaluated based on their college-level work. Transfer applicants who have not earned an Associate's Degree will be required to submit their final, official high school transcript prior to enrolling at the College to demonstrate their successful educational path. Although not considered in the admission review, for those with an Associate degree, students must provide proof of High School graduation (i.e. transcript, diploma) or a GED in order to be considered for Financial Aid.

Course-by-course credit evaluation will be completed once a transfer applicant has been admitted to The College of New Rochelle. Transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities are required to complete an application and credit evaluation.

To be considered for a transfer merit-based scholarship, a transfer applicant must have earned at minimum of 12 college credits. Transfer students may also apply for state and federal financial aid by submitting their FAFSA to The College of New Rochelle using the school code 002704.

Transfer International Applicants

Students who are not permanent residents of the United States and have completed college course work outside the U.S. are considered transfer international applicants, and the following documents are required:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal Statement
  • Certificate of Finances
