Liberal Arts Core Program

All SAS students participate in our Liberal Arts Core Program. The program exposes students to an extensive range of disciplines in order to develop the critical thinking, writing, and communication skills they need to lead rewarding lives in a complex and rapidly changing society. With a focus on interdisciplinary and skills-oriented courses, the program embodies our Ursuline belief in the education of the whole person by ensuring that all students benefit from a well-rounded and robust course of study.

Hands-on Knowledge

We believe a 21st century liberal arts education must incorporate real-world skills and experiences that prepare students to succeed after graduation. SAS's academic programs are designed to provide students with access to experiential learning opportunities in diverse environments — from internships with businesses and organizations in Westchester and New York City to study abroad programs in a wide variety of countries. These transformative experiences instill the passion, confidence, and knowledge students need to succeed not only in their first job, but over the course of their entire career.
