2019 Graduates Celebrate at Hooding & Awards Ceremonies

In the days leading up to Commencement, CNR’s four Schools conducted joyous hooding ceremonies in honor of graduating students. The ceremonies provided an opportunity for CNR graduates to celebrate with the classmates, faculty, administrators, and family members who provided friendship, encouragement, and mentorship throughout their college years. Outstanding students also received special recognition awards for their academic achievements.

CNR Student Awarded Scholarship to Support Language Study Abroad

On May 1, CNR students who participated in the Bridging Cultures trip to Spain during spring break shared their academic projects and observations from their trip, with topics ranging from the analyses of the travels of the poet Federico García Lorca and the cohabitation of religious traditions in the architecture of Andalucía to Flamenco culture and Catalonian street art.

Honors Students Explore Possible Futures During Conference Day

Students in the Juniors Honor Colloquium had the opportunity to showcase their projects during Honors Conference Day on Thursday, April 25. With this year’s theme “Tomorrow’s Yesterday: Futures Past and Present,” projects ranged from the genetic analysis of neurogenesis in spinal cords to the architectural adaptations required by climate change to a study of predictive analytics.

CNR Student Athletes and Leaders Celebrated

CNR student athletes and leaders were celebrated on Thursday, April 25 when the Division of Student Services and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics hosted their annual Leadership and Athletic Banquet, in the Wellness Center on the New Rochelle Campus. Student-athletes from each Blue Angel sports team, along with student leaders from SGA, Residence Life, Campus Ministry and more than 15 clubs were honored at the event.

Artist Matthew Murphy Discusses Work with Developmentally Disabled
