Kimberly Jackson, FNP-c
AANP Board certified in Family Medicine, Kimberly Jackson has worked in all aspects of healthcare. Beginning her career in high school working as a companion to the elderly, she has considerable experience in home, clinical, private practice and hospital medicine. After 20+ years of practice, Prof. Jackson remains enthusiastic about nursing and believes in the importance of evoking that same enthusiasm in her students.
Her research interests include the impact of physical activity and nutrition on health status, acupuncture and alternative medicine.
In addition to teaching at The College of New Rochelle, Prof. Jackson is a member of numerous academic committees, including the SONT and MSN committees, where she has an opportunity to assist with promoting and developing the nursing program for both undergraduate and graduate students.
In her spare time, she participates with her family in a number of charitable organizations, including spending summers teaching English in Third
World countries, volunteering at the local women's resource center, and working on projects with Habitat for Humanity of Newburgh and Connecticut.
She loves world travel and enjoys spending time cooking, listening to podcasts, hiking and biking in the Hudson valley and beyond.
